A while back during a trip that involved a solitary stay at a Hampton Inn, one of their gimmicky post-it note notices caught my attention more than it usually does.
“One would certainly hope that you washed them”, was my thought. Then I started to think about what other signs they might make for guests that would ensure the guests know that they’re in a clean and safe home away from home. the results of that brainstorming session with myself are posted below for your consideration:
LOLz … I liked the first and second note the best. Did you leave these notes behind for them? They would have enjoyed reading them.

Yes, I left them on the desk. So far my idea to use them doesn’t seem to be taking off.

Found you on the community pool, and I’m definitely going to follow your blog! This post cracked me up – I can’t ever sleep at hotels…After watching Hotel Impossible, I just can’t…

Thanks for the kind words, Elizabeth! I spend nearly half of my life alone in hotel rooms and try to create my own entertainment as a result. I haven’t dared watch Hotel Impossible yet. I think that if I did, I’d have to Saran-wrap my body before entering a room and the practicality of that just wouldn’t work out for me.

Thanks, Lily! I’m waiting for them to put a sign on the door that says “Welcome! With your check-in in mind, we made the previous occupant check out of this room earlier today. Thanks for your patronage.”

This is hilarious! I thought that it actually happened, and I had an incredulous face on, but I reread, and oh gosh, I can’t stop laughing! 🙂

If I were the hotel manager, it would have actually happened!

Beautiful. It’s like when my wife and I drove past a store with the name, “Condoms to Go.” She looked at me and said, ” Well, I HOPE they’re to go!”

Ha! The Condoms to Stay are dispensed in rest area restrooms.
